Step 1: Go to the Forms and Reports tab and locate Firearms Application under Forms.
Step 2: Enter Byram Township’s ORI # NJ0190400.
Step 3: Complete the online application.
Step 4: At the end of your online application you will be notified that you must remit payment to the Byram Township Police Department. You must pay $5.00 for a Firearms Purchaser Identification Card (FID) and $2.00 for each Handgun Purchase Permit in the form of check or exact cash. A non-refundable payment is required to be made prior to the completion of the background as per N.J.A.C.13:54-1.4.
At Police Headquarters, Monday through Friday between the hours of 8:00 a.m. and 4:00 p.m. If you wish to pick up reports after business hours, you must call ahead and make arrangements with the Records Division. Please note that the Records Division is closed on weekends and holidays.

The Police Station is located at 10 Mansfield Drive, Byram Township, NJ 07874. From Route 206, turn right or left onto Lackawanna Drive (County Route 607) Landmark- Chase Bank. Travel approximately 9/10ths of 1 mile and turn right onto Mansfield Drive. Turn right into the Municipal Complex Landmark- Byram Museum on right. The Police Station is clearly marked at the far end of the building.
